Our cats have often been called spoiled .... and with good reason. They have a half dozen beds about the house. They have dozens (sss) of toys. They have a private room for (hmmm, reading?) They have perches at most of the windows.
AND 
they have their own entertainment channel. If they are patient .... and sit very still .... these birds feed on the finch sack that is inches away from them. The only time the birds seem to get skittish is when a big person walks too close to the window .... or when one of the cats gets over stimulated and bounces off the glass!! (sorta funny to watch really)

Too funny I noticed all the birds feeding and the squirrels living the droppings too when I was there vet inspiring!
