1. Had a long chat with pops about how he is feeling here & a game plan for what might help him get out & about, stronger, healthier.
2. Headed to Ma'alea to check out what The Pacific Whale Foundation had to offer for sunset cruises
3. Picked up a lightweight sweatshirt for pops
4. Headed to Maui Tropical Plantation for lunch .... they stopped serving 5 minutes before we arrived!
5. Headed back toward Ma'alea to the Seascape restaurant ... they stopped seating patrons just before we got there!
6. Wandered down to the harbor side & looked into the Beach Bum grill and decided we were hungier than we were picky so we parked & popped in.
YAY -
Pops ordered a Longboard beer & we looked over the menu. They had a lot of nostalgic signs covering the walls & TVs all over the place so there was plenty to keep us entertained. Then he ordered grilled shrimp skewers. The Captain ordered a pulled pork sandwich & I decided I would give the fish tacos a try since the signboard claimed they are the "best on Maui". They weren't kidding. super yum!! Not a bunch of filler, mostly fish!! and salsa on the side so it doesn't disguise the taste :o)
We shared the pineapple cobbler for dessert, then we headed home moaning & groaning over our happy opu(s). We give this place 4.5 pineapples (thumbs up)
