trade winds are fierce

Maui is known for afternoon trade winds. It is not unusual for the mornings to be quite calm at the beach and by 1 or 2 pm only the die hards are still hanging out in the water .... since you can get sandblasted on the beach. THIS MORNING it is a-blowin' already - but it does leave the sky mighty clear. We can see Ko'olawe & Molokini as if it were our next door neighbors (well, I guess they sorta are). Not sure if much time at the beach is on the agenda today .... we shall see.
