our "FAV" restaurant on Maui

There is never a bad sunset in Hawaii - just some more glorious than others!
and trust me, it's NOT EASY to choose!
On the evening of 10/17/1998 .... the Captain took me to the Five Palms restaurant for an AMAZING meal .... then as we walked the beach in front of it a little later- he proposed. I knew it was coming- since we met on that date in 1996, we decided it was the perf date to make the commitment, but still .... the romance of it all made me cry :o) This is the sunset view from the restaurant.
Now that we are older and wiser ... we go for the early bird prices and it STILL includes the sunset at no extra charge (yay). and the meal goes like this ..... a mai tai for the Captain, a lava flow for the Princess, we share a salad, then partake of the macadamiacrusted mahimahi & finish off with the Captain having a chocolate lava cake & a pineapple creme brule' for myself. umm umm good (and a walk on the beach of course)
This is me ..... 2005 just before heading over to
the restaurant. We have a bizillion matching Hawaiian garb. This is one of our more formal ones. when in Rome ya know!
