TODAY was the big day for Pa ..... his trip to the DMV to renew his license. Once upon a time, that wouldn't have been a big deal- but now, with dozens of new laws involving alcohol consumption, & smoking, & cell phones.... well, let's just say that just knowing how to drive safely isn't enough! BUT YOU DID IT POPS! Even after arriving at the DMV to find all the computers crashed without any idea of what to expect next- you hung in there & waited ..... and took the situation in stride. Then You marched out with a triumphant smile on your face that, you confessed, was not used for the picture on you new ID. :o( Since getting a DMV appointment often means going out of town .... we made the best of it by doing a little shopping & having a dede-lightful supper afterward. With this obstacle behind us, it's time now to focus on Thanksgiving which, this time around, ALSO happens to be pop's birthday :o) This being his 87th .... I realize he's had plenty of practice by now but still- we don't want it to go unnoticed!! So we just might stick a candle in a pumpkin pancake for him !!
